Machinist's Levels
• Ground and graduated main vial.
• 12" model has a plumb vial and 18" model
has a double plumb vial.
• Main vials are adjustable.
• Bearing surfaces are accurately machined and finished
and include a involuted groove.
• An involute longitudinal groove between bearing
flats provides seating on round work.
• With the cross test level, it is possible to level
simultaneously in both directions by canting
the level sideways on round work. This prevents
inaccuracies in main vial reading.
Cross test vial on all except 4" model (10-978-5).
• 6", 8" and 12" models have graduations that
are approximately 80 - 90 seconds or 0.005" per foot.
